A maintenance release of EPUB Checker came out on July 30, 2018. There are no new features but it does now support:
- Supports Java 9 & 10
- Has Japanese translation
- Does update checks & downloads via HTTPS/SSL
An important note: the Publishing Steering Committee of the W3C is looking for helpers to support the development and maintenance of EPUB Checker. You can read more about that search here:

EPUB Checker continues to be a free and indispensable tool in any ebook developers work flow. It is a very easy to use drag-and-drop tool that runs a series of validation checks on the CSS, HTML, and structure of both fixed-layout and reflowable EPUBs.
